Smith Systems Transportation, Inc. is a fully licensed, permitted and insured, hazardous waste transporter. We have continued to gain success in the trucking industry since 1971. Our equipment includes several types of newer model tractors and trailers, dry vans, temperature-controlled vans, roll-offs, vacuum-tanks, tankers, and end dumps.
We are looking for qualified drivers that meet the following standards:
•Must carry a Class A driver license with endorsements that include: Hazardous, and Tanker
•Must be at least 25 years of age with a minimum of three years experience driving a Tractor/Trailer due to insurance requirements
•Must have current long form physical and card
•Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT drug screen
•Able to provide DMV report current within 2 weeks that indicates safe driving history
•If requested by customer, driver must be clean shaven enough to meet respiratory fit requirements for OSHA
Smith Systems Transportation offers great pay, with a flexible benefits program for company drivers following 90-days employment.
Owner Operators who wish to sign on with SST:
•Owner Operators receive fuel surcharge on all miles, empty and loaded.
•All permits supplied by Carrier
•Physical Damage insurance is paid by contractor, cargo & trailer insurance paid by carrier, with no charge to contractor
•Base plates are available through carrier
