Communications Specialist
Candidates for this position will provide centralized support for advanced technologies including voice, data and video communication services for mobile and land-based devices such as cellular phones, PDA, air cards and accessories for these devices to both foreign and domestic employees. The Communications Specialist will serve as lead over all projects affecting Mobile Services programs including PDAs, cell phones, INMARSAT and Global Star (SatCom) Systems and assist in projects affecting PBX, Video Teleconferencing (VTC), and desk top phones.
Additionally, this position will maintain an accurate inventory of all PDAs, cell phone, and air card deployments, and researches, analyzes and recommends advanced communications technologies, services and strategies while troubleshooting and resolving any helpdesk issues concerning cellular phones, air cards, PDAs and PBX systems.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 1 year of college in Information Technology or related field and a minimum of 5 years of experience with mobile telecommunications devices and 2 years of experience with PBX, however equivalent experience can be substituted for college education. Candidates must have a knowledge of voice and data networks and associated equipment including Phone Branch Exchange (PBX), voicemail systems and Cisco routers and switches and the ability to lead and manage communication projects. Being a CCNA and having certificates in Mitel, Fujitsu and Panasonic PBX systems is a plus.
