Business Specific Requirements: Candidate will also support PLSQL customizations to the HP IT instance of HP’s Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system, a software solution which helps IT organizations prioritize their strategic initiatives and ensure those projects are properly executed and deliver successful business outcomes from inception to completion
Design, build and support interfaces between CBA and PPM, as well as other HP applications
Work with Global DBAs and other HP teams to move the CBA application into one of HP’s consolidated Data Centers.
Implement functional enhancements based on user requirements
Bachelors or undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Information Systems,
Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience. Masters or graduate degree
is desirable.
Expert skills (7+ years) as a Oracle application developer: Extensive PL/SQL, design, create and tune tables, indexes, constraints; create/maintain database schema, performance/tuning, query optimizations; interfaces using database links
Experience developing on Oracle 10g.
Extensive experience with the design and development of large-scale n-tier applications
Candidate must have demonstrated ability to troubleshoot performance and stability issues where Oracle sits in a multi-tiered architecture
Strong experience working on UNIX, particularly Shell Scripting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience in administering and using version control tools
Experience with software change management process
Possesses a good understanding of the software development lifecycle
Experience in multiple full release cycles
Ability to validate data for accuracy
Strong aptitude for multi-tasking and ability to work under pressure to handle multiple priorities and deliverables, all while maintaining professionalism and composure
Ability to handle change while still meeting deadlines
