The Neonatal Intensive Care Nursery is a 92 bed unit equipped to care for the most critically ill infants and premature babies born as early 23 weeks gestation and weighing as little as one pound. The hospital is one of only two hospitals in Houston to offer Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation ECMO
BASIC FUNCTION: Position responsible for collaborating with the physician and healthcare team in the delivery of patient care, utilizing the nursing process to facilitate the delivery of patient care.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrates commitment to the Partners-in-Caring process and the Behavioral Expectations in all interactions and in performing all job duties. Performs duties in a manner to promote quality patient care and customer service/satisfaction, while promoting safety, cost efficiency, and a commitment to the CQI process.
2. Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
3. Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing.
4. Certified in Basic Life Support other certification based on nursing unit requirements.
5. One or more years of Nursing experience in area of intended practice.
