I. Job Summary
Procures necessary equipment, materials, services, and supplies needed in the operation of the company.
II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. - Ensure that Heavy Equipment orders meet company standards and can be supported by existing contracts.- Follow up with Suppliers to understand and manage potential conflicts in options or delivery requirements.- Assist sites with paperwork necessary to receive, pay for and title Heavy Equipment and Support Vehicles.- Participate in heavy equipment related sourcing programs and activities- Support Sourcing Strategy set by Strategic Sourcing Manager.- Provide indepth knowledge of major suppliers, impacts on market drivers and trends.- Maintain constant awareness of economic and supplier conditions that may impact pricing, supply or supplier performance.- Assist with the analysis of sourcing projects.- Provide information and reporting at the Group, Area and/or site level - Resolve supplier performance and supply chain problems prior to issues causing business interruption.
III. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience
Required:- 4 year degree or equivalent work experience.- 2 years experience participating in or managing supplier relationships.- 1 years experience sourcing construction equipment- 1 year experience in a large supply chain organization.- Significant experience with and proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite of products.
Preferred:- 4 year degree in business or supply chain - 3 years experience handling the supply chain function for Heavy Equipment- 2 years experience managing supplier relationships- 2 years experience in data analysis- Significant experience with Microsoft Access.- CPM certification
