UPG has an opening at its Houston, Texas facility for a Mold Maker.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing the following job functions in a fast paced ever changing manufacturing environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
„h Sets up and operates all standard tool room equipment including conventional mills, lathes, surface
grinders, and sinker EDMs and CNC¡¦s
„h Assembles and disassembles tools.
„h Repairs injection mold cavities & cores due to damage or wear.
„h Completes engineering changes & revisions to injection molds.
„h Stones & polishes mold components.
„h Verifies dimensional accuracy of part detail.
„h Builds fixtures to gages as needed.
„h Ensures that all aspects of the Quality Policy and Objectives are understood and enacted.
„h Follows safety requirements as outlined in the safety manual.
„h Performs other projects and duties as assigned.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
„h High school diploma or GED equivalent with 3+ years related experience making repairs and/or modifications of tools (injection molding or extrusion) and should have strong skills with all tool room equipment or equivalent combination of both
„h Must also be experienced with troubleshooting molds.
„h Ability to write routine mold reports.
„h Ability to use or learn Mastercam.
