You must be:
*** A United States Citizen.
*** Able to get a security clearance.
*** Able to pass a physical exam.
*** Able to deploy to Iraq for one year.
Job Purpose:
Facilitates communication by translating text or conversations.
Duties:
* Prepares for translation by studying text or verbal conversation to be translated; researching subject matter.
* Translates text or conversation by understanding the thoughts expressed; incorporating cultural influences; consulting dictionaries, thesauri, and references; conferring with colleagues; explaining the thought in target language.
* Evaluates interpretation/translation by reviewing clarity and grammar; making adjustments in meaning as necessary.
* Occasionally prepares translation by dictating or keying translated text.
* Verifies translation by proofreading translated text.
* Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Arabic and English Language Fluency, Verbal Communication, Informing Others, Written Communication, Client Relationships, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Professionalism, Documentation Skills, Dealing with Complexity, Productivity.
