Public Safety Attendants receive, process, document, and monitor all incoming prisoners for the police department or other agencies; perform required inspections for the holding facility; assist in the arraignment of prisoners with the Municipal Judge; insure that holding facility equipment is maintained and in good working order; insure that the holding facility is clean and free of contraband; are responsible for taking non-emergency phone calls in the communications center when no prisoners are in the holding facility; and, perform other duties, tasks and assignments related to the position as directed. They must be able to perform tasks requiring good physical condition and are expected to work full time; weekends; holidays; and, hours other than between 7am- 5pm.
