** CHANCES ARE YOUR OLD SHOWER STINKS! **
Most tiled showers are not built correctly. Many builders and tile setters do not use the proper materials or methods when building showers. Some use wallboard or greenboard as the substrate, then adhere tiles directly to it. THAT IS VERY BAD! IT's also against IRC code as of Jan. 2006. They just want to build them the cheapest way possible. When done that way you will have cracked grout and mold or mildew within a few years, or sooner. Later the wallboard will likely get wet and turn to mush. WHY NOT DO IT RIGHT NEXT TIME?
