KBA Consultants is recruiting for an experienced, regular full time Project Manager for a growing commercial construction company.
Our client has multiple projects in the Houston area with construction specialization in the healthcare and technology industries.
Minimum Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of project management in the construction industry (preferably commercial experience)
- Strong people management skills
- Proficiency with construction estimating software, database, and/or project management applications
Hiring Salary: $75k-$90k + yearly bonus + full benefits package (including medical, 401k + company match, and car allowance)
Job Duties:
- Manage project to specified quality requirements, within the project budget, and in compliance with the project schedule.
- Monitor contractor performance to insure adherence to contract documents and preclude claims and excessive cost.
- Manage the procurement activity to insure competitive contracting and provide interface with vendors and the contracting community.
- Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets, administer subcontracts and purchase orders, and manage quality and subcontractor coordination.
- Maintain relationship with Owner, Architect (design), and Engineer. Facilitate scheduled project meetings. Create progress reports, cost reports, change order estimates, and billing packages.
- Supervise project cost and manpower, and collaborate with Superintendent for most productive and efficient strategies.
- Familiarize with the scope of contract documents and interpret and coordinate technical questions with design.
