Manage Women’s Residence in a University Setting
Live in-house, mentor collegiates, provide a home-like environment in privately owned housing. Work with residents, staff, vendors, alumni, parents, university personnel. Responsibilities include food ordering and menu planning with a chef; budget control; hiring and supervision of household and maintenance personnel; overseeing repairs, renovations; landscaping; organizing and hosting dinners and special events. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young people, has a college degree, several years experience in Food & Property Management / Restaurant Management / Event Planning / Catering / B&B Management / Business Ownership. Excellent candidates include retired Airline Attendants, Educators, Peace Corps volunteers, Social Service workers, food related business owners, Empty Nesters with valuable Life Experiences and Parenting Skills. Basic knowledge of computer, food sanitation law, workmen’s comp issues helpful. Salary and benefits vary with location; accommodations and meals are provided for a single person. Contracts are for 9 to 10 months, holidays and summers off. Strong candidates are free to relocate. Must provide references, pass background check, climb stairs in multi-level housing.
