Engineering Assistant
Must have experience working in an engineering department! I will be interviewing tomorrow from our Woodlands office! Please let me know what times you can interview.
Position Description:
Provides administrative support to engineering and coordination of department specific information and activities.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist engineering and production departments with clerical duties of various types including creating spreadsheets, composing correspondence, managing databases and creating presentation and reports.
- Storing, retrieving and integrating information for dissemination to staff and clients via telephone, mail, web-sites and email.
- Coordinate and assist with documentation control including ECOs
- Work with engineering and production to create schedules in Microsoft Project and keep schedules updated with input from appropriate personnel
- Work with Engineering Manager ensure project documentation is meeting ISO 9001 requirements
- Assist with product manuals, technical specifications and other documentation
- Plan and schedule meetings, take meeting minutes and distribute
- Conduct research
- Assist with answering incoming phone calls
- Files and maintains records.
- Run local errands.
- May be responsible for special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualification Requirements:
- 2 year degree in office administration or equivalent experience
- 3 – 4 years of similar experience.
- Experience with a variety of office equipment including photocopier, fax machines, scanner, videoconference and telephone systems
- Microsoft Office Suite Proficient including PowerPoint.
Skill Requirements:
- Excellent planning, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
- Excellent organization skills
- Ability to work with little supervision.
- Ability to multi-task including work working for several people at one time
Location: Greenspoint area
Pay Rate: $15 plus/hour, temp to hire for the right fit.
