We seek a Purchasing Coordinator to work for our Houston office.
As a Purchasing Coordinator you will:
- provide departmental administrative support services
- facilitate the daily communication with supplier organizations and internal requestors, regarding order status
- enter requisitions and purchase orders into the PeopleSoft procurement system
- assist buyers with product sourcing
- maintain vendor price lists
- maintain purchase order receipt verification and shipping confirmation
- problem solve for missing shipments and missing receipts
- assist the AP department with invoice matching
- coordinate all material returns to vendors
- maintain the centralized departmental filing system for purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor files
- perform filing and other tasks as required
- assist buyer personnel and management on special projects as required
- light shipping and receiving
To qualify for this position, you must have:
- strong computer skills in MS Excel & Word
- procurement systems knowledge a plus
- impeccable organizational skills
