We seek a Purchasing Coordinator to work for our Houston office.


As a Purchasing Coordinator you will:



  • provide departmental administrative support services
  • facilitate the daily communication with supplier organizations and internal requestors, regarding order status
  • enter requisitions and purchase orders into the PeopleSoft procurement system
  • assist buyers with product sourcing
  • maintain vendor price lists
  • maintain purchase order receipt verification and shipping confirmation
  • problem solve for missing shipments and missing receipts
  • assist the AP department with invoice matching
  • coordinate all material returns to vendors
  • maintain the centralized departmental filing system for purchase orders, packing slips, and vendor files
  • perform filing and other tasks as required
  • assist buyer personnel and management on special projects as required
  • light shipping and receiving

To qualify for this position, you must have:



  • strong computer skills in MS Excel & Word

  • procurement systems knowledge a plus

  • impeccable organizational skills
